You will explore the UNESCO-listed world heritage sites such as the magnificent Potala Palace and Jokhang Temple. You can also visit two of the largest Gelukpa monasteries, namely Drepung and Sera Monasteries.
Regarding spiritual practice, you can walk with the locals at the most sacred religious site in Tibet and also visit the debate section of monks at Sera Monastery. According to the Buddhist way of learning, debate is regarded as one of the greatest method for developing verbal skills as well as concentration of the mind.

Day 01
Arrival in Lhasa and Acclimatization
The moment you land in Tibet, your guide will receive you at the exit gate of the airport or train station with a white scarf (Khadark in Tibetan). This is the Tibetan tradition for welcoming someone. Then, they will drive you to your reserved hotel. It will take more than one hour from the airport to the hotel. On the way, you will experience the crystal-clear blue sky and the high ranges of mountains.
If you come by train, it will take 20 to 30 minutes to reach your hotel. On the way, you will catch a glimpse of the magnificent Potala Palace while entering Lhasa City.
After checking in at your hotel, you can take a rest to adapt to the altitude. Compared to other regions in Tibet, Lhasa will be more comfortable for foreigners. If you feel any discomfort, you can get help at your hotel as they will provide you with all the necessary equipment.
Day 02
Exploring UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Lhasa
Your guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel after breakfast and drive towards the magnificent Potala Palace, which is the main attraction of your Tibet tour. The Potala Palace has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. It was built in the 7th century during the reign of King Songtsen Gampo and was also the seat of the Tibetan Government before the liberation of Tibet.
It will take a maximum of 2 hours to complete your visit, and you will have a breathtaking view of the entire Lhasa city from the top.
After the visit, you will descend from the back side of the palace and join the locals in circumambulating the palace. You can mingle with the locals to experience the spiritual practices.
Then, you can visit the cultural folk dancing park, where you will find many Tibetans dancing in groups. You can also participate in the dancing as Tibetans are very friendly to foreigners.
You can have your lunch in a local Tibetan restaurant to enjoy truly authentic local cuisine. In the afternoon, your guide will take you to visit the Jokhang Temple, which is also listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. There will be fewer crowds in the afternoon, and foreigners have a separate entry point. That temple was built in the 7th century and houses the precious Jowo Shakyamuni at present. The temple has a very unique design, composed with cultural varieties such as Tibetan, Indian, Nepalis and Chinese style of crafting inside the temple. For detail, you can ask your guide who will explain each and everything clearly as per your request.
Day 03
Monastic Spiritual Discovery
Today, your tour is totally spiritual, at first you will visit at one of the largest and most stunning monastery in Tibet which is known as Drepung and had the largest numbers of monks in history, also the house of Tibetan Government before shifting to Potala Palace during 5th Dalai Lama. Your guide will lead you to the most important chapels of the monastery, there you can discovery the houses of Past Buddha, Present Buddha and Future Buddha according to Tibetan Buddhism,that will be a great spiritual tour.
In afternoon, your guide will take you to another famous monastery, that is Sera Monastery, you can discover many interesting Buddha statues and the main chapel of the monastery is Sera Tamdin( Hayagriva), the wrathful deity, the protector of the monastery.
In evening around 5 pm, you can visit at debate section of the monks, according to Buddhist way of learning, debate is the best method in boosting verbal skill and to enhance the concentration of the mind.
Day 04
Lhasa to Shigatse via Yamdrok Lake
The next trip begins in Lhasa and makes its way through Gampala Pass, standing at a height of 4790 meters. From afar, you’ll catch sight of the stunning Yamdrok Lake, which is at an altitude of 4400 meters. We’ll stop by Yamdrok to snap pictures and experience the natural splendor of this treasured Tibetan lake. Near the lake, you’ll find numerous small Tibetan restaurants where you can enjoy a straightforward lunch.
Following lunch, continue on to Shigatse. Along the route, you’ll have a remarkable view of the sacred Mt. Nanchenthangla. Then, pass by Tibet’s largest glacier, the Karola Glacier. Pause here to take photos and feel the sharp, clear ice on the mountain. Next, reach Simila mountain pass. Here, you can hang prayer flags.
Eventually, arrive at Shigatse, the second-largest city in Tibet. Once you check in at the hotel, you can relax and unwind.

Day 05
Mysterious Tashi Lhunpo Monastery Visit
In the morning, we will visit at one of the greatest monastery, the seat of 2nd highest Lama in Tibetan Buddhism and you will discover various tombs of 7 passed Panchen Lama and the main attraction of the temple is The Buddha of Future.
Then you can tour around the city with guide and can have lunch at local restaurant before returning back to Lhasa.

Day 06
Time to depart from Tibet
Now the time to say Goodbye to Tibet and your guide and driver will see you off at the exist point that will be either Airport or train station.
