Amdo & Kham

January 23, 2025

The Amdo and Kham regions boast a large number of genuine and precious Tibetan Buddhist monasteries as well as other natural attractions. These areas have become popular destinations for countless travelers. Unlike the Tibet Autonomous Region in China, it’s generally much easier and smoother to visit these regions. As long as you hold a Chinese visa and can speak either Tibetan or Mandarin, you can travel independently.

When your travel destination is within the Tibet Autonomous Region of China, such as Lhasa, a Tibet Travel Permit is necessary. In such cases, you are required to book your Tibet tour with a local Tibet – based travel agency in advance. Based on your planned tour itinerary, your chosen travel company will apply for the Tibet Travel Permit on your behalf.

We offer a wide range of small – group tours and private tours. These tours are designed based on our years of travel experience and the preferences of our customers, serving as a useful reference for future travelers. Suppose you can’t find a tour that suits your interests and preferences among our existing options. In that case, we are more than happy to customize a tour itinerary according to your specific interests and available time.
