A journey to Mt. Kailash is regarded as the most sacred and demanding tour in Tibet. After spending 2 – 3 days on an acclimatization tour in Lhasa, one can gradually proceed towards the western part of Tibet. This region, at a higher altitude, holds greater natural significance. This tour combines the essence of a pilgrimage and an exploration of the natural splendor of Tibet, allowing travelers to have unique and personal experiences.
The Everest Base Camp (EBC) is another remarkable attraction within this tour. In Lhasa, visitors will have the opportunity to explore world heritage sites such as the Potala Palace and Jokhang Temple. The bustling Bakhor Street, which serves as the main traditional shopping center, offers a chance to purchase small traditional Tibetan-style gifts for family and friends back home.
As the journey progresses towards the western side of Tibet, travelers will be greeted by the sight of the holy turquoise Yamdrok Lake, the magnificent Karola Glacier, Mt. Nyenchen Khangsar, and numerous other peaks within the Himalayan ranges.
