Lulang Forest is located in Lulang Town, Bayi District, Nyingchi City, Tibet. It is a typical alpine mountain forest, known as “a place that makes people forget about home“.

Situated in the Indian Ocean water vapor zone that surges into the Yarlung Zangbo Grand Canyon, it is at an altitude of around 3,700 meters and surrounded by mountains. Its unique geographical location endows it with a mild and humid climate. Influenced by both the plateau climate and the warm and humid Indian Ocean air currents, a distinctive ecological environment has been formed, providing suitable conditions for the lush growth of the forest.

There are Tibetan villages around. The traditional Tibetan-style houses are scattered in an orderly manner. The exterior walls of the buildings are brightly colored, setting off against the forest. The villagers maintain their traditional way of life. Tourists can experience making butter tea and barley cakes, and participate in activities such as the Guozhuang dance to feel the Tibetan culture.

There are well-developed tourism facilities. Tourists can stroll along the plank road to penetrate deep into the forest and enjoy the natural scenery. They can also overlook the panoramic view of the forest and the distant snow-capped mountains from the viewing platform. Additionally, tourists can ride horses through the forest, enjoying a unique play experience.
