Nyingtri also referred to as Linzhi or Nyingch, is situated in the southeast of the Tibetan Autonomous Region in China. It is renowned for its agreeable climate and with altitude of 3040m that is quite suitable for visitors.
This region is often hailed as the “Switzerland of Tibet.” It ranks among the most popular destinations for both domestic and international tourists in Tibet, boasting well – developed transportation options such as flights, trains, and overland trips along the highway.
The main attractions in this area include Pagsum Tso Lake, the Lulang Forest teeming with diverse wildlife, the majestic Mt. Namcha Barwa, the ancient Tibetan Buddhist Lamaling Monastery, a 2,500 – year – old sacred cypress tree, and the crystalline Mindui Glacier.
The peach blossom season in Nyingtri, which commences at the end of March, is the peak tourist season and one of the most enjoyable times for travelers.
