Tour Plan

Day1: ARRIVAL TO KYIRONG, CROSS THE BORDER
Your guide and driver will be waiting for you in Kyirong. After you finish the border customs check, we’ll head to your hotel for a rest to acclimatize to the high altitude of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.

Day 2. KYIRONG (2700m) – GONGTHANG LA PASS (5200m) – SAGA TOWN (4600m), 350 km (B)
Today, travel to Saga—a beautiful town—crossing Gongtang La Pass en route to admire the Himalayan snow-capped mountains.

Day3: SAGA (4600m) – MANASAROVAR LAKE OR CHEWU (4200m), 510km
Today we’ll head to the sacred Lake Manasarovar – its breathtaking beauty is sure to take your breath away. En route, you’ll marvel at towering snow-capped peaks and endless sweeping grasslands all around.

Day4: MANASAROVAR LAKE (4500m) – DARCHEN (4700m), 100km
Darchen is the gateway to sacred Mt. Kailash – it’s also known as the mountain’s base camp, where the main Kailash kora begins. Settle in and rest well at your hotel here, as you ready yourself for your spiritual kora journey around Mt. Kailash.

Day5: 1st DAY TREKKING TO DIRAPUK. 20km.
Today begins your real sacred journey around Mt. Kailash: embark on a 20km high-altitude trek, then rest at Dirapuk, a vital stop on the Kora trail. The hike is a little challenging due to the plateau terrain, yet utterly worthwhile for the stunning mountain scenery and spiritual experience.

Day6: 2nd DAY OF THE TREKKING TO ZULTUL PUK (4790m) 18km.
This is your once-in-a-lifetime chance to challenge yourself crossing Dikpala (5000m) and Dolma la (5600m). After an 18km trek to Zultul Puk, you’ll wind down and rest at the local guesthouse right here in Zultul Puk.

Day7: LAST DAY TREKKING AND MEAL AT DARCHEN AND THEN STRAIGHT DRIVE TO SAGA. (12km trekking).
Today marks the last day of your Mt. Kailash kora trek! After a gentle 12km hike, you’ll head back to Darchen, grab your packed bags, and then we’ll continue our journey to Saga.

Day8: SAGA– KYIRONG TOWN, 260km.
After a good night’s rest in Saga, we’ll make our way back to Kyirong. We’ll soak in the stunning vistas of the plateau’s towering peaks and endless grasslands along the way, then settle in for a rest in Kyirong.

Day9: DEPART FROM TIBET BY KYIRONG BORDER.
Now it’s time to bid farewell to Tibet, carrying all the beautiful and unforgettable memories from your journey here. Your guide will accompany you to the customs checkpoint, where you’ll cross the border into Nepal.

1: Tibet Travel Permit

Without Tibet Travel Permits, you cannot enter Tibet (Tibet Autonomous Region), China, but it is not difficult to obtain the permit, registered company like TRW, it can be easily obtain it for you if your Tibet Tour has been confirmed with a legit registered local travel company.

Alien Travel Permit (ATP) is an additional permit which is required if your itinerary is in Gyirong, Kailash, Ngari and EBC in western part of Tibet,Tsedang,Nyinchi, Ranwo Lake, Basum Lake, Sakga or Shalu Monasteries in Shigatse area,

3: Military Permit

The Military Permits as you can see from the word, this permit is related to military department, thus, this travel document is mainly issued by the military authority in Tibet, in fact, this permit is compulsory for entering to any border regions between China and neighboring countries. Military permits are required for visiting following places in Tibet apart from TTP.

Tibet Travel Permit (TTP) is the basic required permit to travel to Tibet Autonomous Region (TAR), every foreign travelers must need Tibet Travel Permit to enter to Tibet along with your Chinese Visa or Tibet Group Visa. Though it seems very hard or confusing, it just takes few simple steps, and your travel agency will do the rest.

Tibet Travel Permit is mainly obtained from Tibet Tourism Bureau in Lhasa, Tibet, which contains the tourist’s information and confirmed itineraries.

According to the latest Chinese regulations for foreign visitors, passports must have a validity of six months (at least) to apply for a Chinese visa. This requirement also applies when traveling to Tibet along with Tibet Travel Permit.
